Amy

Amy has been here for the past two weeks. We have had so much fun with her. Last Sunday, we had a hair dying party and dyed each other's hair. They both turned out really good. Amy's is the same as it was before but brighter. Mine is also brighter, but with a hint of strawberry blond. Amy's goodbye dinner was tonight at Mom's house and we passed the time by singing old TV Show Theme Songs...yes, we are nerds.

Thanks for spending so much time with me, Amy. I love you!

Directing it and Hot Rides

Edwin got hired on full time at DaySpring Behavioral Health Services this week. He has been doing their website for the past few months and they were really impressed with him, so they offered him the position of Director of IT. I like to tease him about being the director of it - not the letters I and T, but the word it. Monday, he had orientation with our friend, Angie, who is the Human Resources Director at DaySpring. Thursday (today) he is headed to Arkadelphia to meet with some IT people about a project they are starting and Friday he is going to Jonesboro to do the same thing. He is a traveling man!

In other news... We got a new car. My obsession with Mazda 3s has turned into reality. I have a crush on it. Remember the feeling of when you first get a new boyfriend or girlfriend and you want to talk to them all day long and look at them and be with them? That is how I feel about this car. It is black, has a sunroof, a spoiler, a six disc CD changer, an MP3 jack, and is satellite radio compatible; although we don't have a subscription. Old red was a great car, but it was time for him to go to car heaven. RIP old red...

Pictures to follow...

Costa Rica

Edwin made it back from Costa Rica. He had no problems in immigration, and he got to go through the "Citizens and Residents" side! His family was really happy to see us and we spent the whole week that I was there running around. We went to the beach Tuesday to Thrusday. I had never been to the Atlantic side of Costa Rica and it was amazing. Saturday we went to a city called Sarchi where they have the largest Ox cart in the world. Ox carts are a typical souviner of Costa Rica because they were used to haul coffee beans before cars were invented. So...here go the pictures...

We went to Sarchi with Edwin's sister, Carla, her husband, Ignacio, and their girl, Maria Laura. You may not know, but a nickname for Ignacio is Nacho. That is where Nachos came from; probably some guy named Nacho put a bunch of crap on chips.
We are standing by one wheel of the largest ox cart in the world.

After the ox cart experience, we went to lunch

and there was a horse ride there. So, of course, Maria Laura had to ride it several times. She had so much fun.

Here are some random pics of Edwin with his family

Jonathan's 1st Birthday

Since Ben and Kristen are leaving in a week, Kristen decided to have a small family party. Chris and Melissa came over too. Jonathan was so excited when we got there because he could tell something was going on. He loved all of his presents and we all had a really good time.

Mom got Jonathan a rocking horse and he loves it!

We kept Jonathan Friday night and he was in a great mood. We had so much fun.

Amy - Check this out!!!!

Jonathan is getting teeth. You can see them in this picture. His bottom teeth are in better than the top, but you can see the second one poking through here.

Oh yes, he is WALKING!!!!!!!!

Oklahoma Trip

Kristen, Jonathan, Edwin, and I packed up and went to see the family in Oklahoma this weekend. We left Friday night after work and got in about 10:30 or so. Jonathan did really good in the car - he slept almost the whole way. Once we got there, he got his second wind and stayed up until midnight. Saturday afternoon, we went to see Autumn and Matt's house and then came home for dinner. Everyone came home for dinner and we had a good time. Julia couldn't really figure out what to make of Jonathan because he is not a baby but not yet a boy. She kept calling him "that little man" and it was so precious.

Tatum is already eight weeks old and she has changed so much since we first saw her. Her face has really filled out and Seth and Erin say that she smiles all the time. They are having a blast with her. Erin doesn't have to go back to work for another week and two weeks after that, Seth is done with his semester so he will have her until Erin gets out for the year.

Kristen decided to see if Jonathan could feed himself and it turned out so funny. He got messy to say the least.

Bath Time!

Amy Came!

Amy came to visit this week for her Spring Break. We had a really good time with her. I think this is the only good picture of the three of us since 2002.
